Korea Asia Teaching Professional Golf Association (KATPGA)

2001–2005

Establishment of the Philippine Branch

KATPGA was founded in 2001 with the Philippines as its starting point, establishing a foundation for international golf education and tours.
This laid the groundwork for overseas expansion and marked the first step toward becoming a global golf association.

2005–2007

Establishment of Korea Headquarters / Opening of China Branch

In May 2005, under the leadership of Korean representative Chairman Johnny YANG, the Korean headquarters was established in Incheon and officially recognized.
In April 2007, a branch was launched in China, initiating full-scale expansion throughout Asia.

2007

Global Expansion in Thailand

Through the continuous establishment of overseas branches and operation of specialized teaching programs,
KATPGA actively supports the educational advancement of its members and their participation in global tours.
As a result, the prestige of KATPGA is now widely recognized across Asia.

2024–Present

Establishment of the Vietnam Branch

In 2024, KATPGA launched its Vietnam branch to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia.
The branch is committed to nurturing future golf professionals and expanding opportunities for golf education and licensing in Vietnam.
